Important changes for plan members covered by health care and dental benefits

New unique identifier

As of November 1st, all participants and their dependents covered by Health Care and Dental benefits, will be provided a new unique identifier. It will be necessary to share these unique identifiers with their pharmacist and/or dental clinic in order to submit a claim. 

As a participant covered by health care and/or dental benefits, you will receive a new identification card by mail by the end of October. This will be accompanied by a letter regarding the actions to be taken regarding your group insurance.

Please note : the previous laminated drug card will no longer be functional for pharmacy and dental clinic transactions.

New Health & Dental claims portal My Humania - An Enhanced Experience

Starting November 1, 2023 a new secure portal will be rolled out for plan members with Health Care and Dental benefits covered by Humania Assurance’s group insurance plans. This new portal, named My Humania, will accelerate and simplify the claims process. 

More specifically, My Humania will enable participants to:

  • Submit claims online   

  • View claims history and details, including summary of claims that can be used for tax purposes   

  • Verify health and dental coverage information (if applicable)    

  • Sign up for direct deposit   

  • Access the virtual ID card    

  • Print custom claim forms 

  • Run a claim simulation  

  • Validate registered care providers  

  • Print statements to submit to other plans   

  • Verify Health and Dental Spending Budget account balance from benefit statements (if applicable).
