Humania Assurance and its subsidiary Tour+Med, in partnership with Fintech Cadence, are proud to unveil the 8 finalists of their Innovation Competition.
After several weeks of preparation, mentoring sessions, and inspiring workshops, these teams stood out among 14 semifinal projects thanks to the creativity, relevance, and tangible potential of their solutions. Their bold ideas reflect the vitality of the fintech and insurance ecosystem and demonstrate the power of innovation as a driver for enhancing the travel experience of Canadian snowbirds — those seasonal travelers seeking safety, connection, and discovery.
These promising projects explore a range of avenues, from behavioral analysis to tracking applications and intelligent support platforms. All share a common goal: to improve the snowbird travel experience and inspire new approaches across the industry.
Onward to the Finals!
The finalist teams are now heading toward the final stage of this exciting journey: the grand finale on November 19. They will present their solutions before a panel of experts from the insurance, fintech, and entrepreneurship sectors — including representatives from Humania Assurance and Tour+Med. Three winners will be crowned and will share a total of $35,000 in cash prizes, with $20,000 awarded for first place, $10,000 for second, and $5,000 for third.
