Social engagement is at the core of our corporate culture. We are proud to be actively involved with local organizations. We believe that the personal commitment of each individual can have a significant impact on the community.
Humania is proud to be a member of the Socodevi network: the Société de coopération pour le développement international. This Quebec-based organization has the goal of improving living conditions for families in developing countries, while making communities more self-sufficient.
Since 2010, we’ve been supporting Socodevi’s mission with support, advice, financial commitment, and concrete action. The programs we take part in aim to reduce poverty, support cooperative entrepreneurship, and increase resilience in the face of climate change, all with a gender equality approach.
The mission of the Empathy Committee, made up of members from various Humania departments, is to involve our company and our employees in community organizations aligned with our values.
In 2023-2024, all our fundraising proceeds will be donated to Leucan to support their mission. Our mission is to promote the recovery and well-being of children with cancer, and to support their families through supportive services.
The Empathy Committee’s role also includes promoting “Empathy Day”, which encourages our employee volunteers to get involved with an organization in their community for one day.
In 2014, Humania partnered with the City of Saint-Hyacinthe to support the Cultural Center, which brings together various organizations and socio-cultural players in the region under one roof. We’re happy to support the local community of Saint-Hyacinthe, where the mutual’s head office is located. In addition, the facility proudly bears the name “Centre Culturel Humania Assurance.”
As health, well-being and solidarity are core values at Humania, we are proud to support the Course des récoltes as part of a three-year partnership agreement. This unifying event promotes an active and accessible lifestyle while bringing the community together around important local causes.
Proceeds from the race are donated to Moisson Maskoutaine, the Fondation Honoré-Mercier, and the Fondation de l’École secondaire Saint-Joseph, helping to make a tangible contribution to the health, mutual support and quality of life of individuals and families in the region.
In early 2023, Humania officially inaugurated its partnership with the organization known as Leucan for the years 2023 and 2024. This collaboration marks an important milestone in our community social commitment, reflecting our deep-rooted culture and core values of empathy and collaboration.
By supporting Leucan’s noble mission to promote the recovery and well-being of children affected by cancer and their families, we strengthen our determination to play a significant role in society. This initiative demonstrates our determination to implement concrete, tailored actions, aligned with the specific needs of each stage of the disease and its consequences.
At Humania, we’re proud to contribute to this vital cause and to support families facing these difficult challenges.
