June 5, 2020Individual insurance, group insurance and representatives

Humania Assurance values its employees and the work they do. That’s why, for the second year running, the company earned a spot on Mediacorp’s list of Top 100 Small and Medium Employers. The annual competition helps propel many Canadian businesses into the spotlight, so that they can showcase their innovative human resources programs and initiatives.

Humania President and CEO, Stéphane Rochon has much to say concerning the huge level of dedication that all Humania Assurance employees invest in company initiatives. “Our employees are the drivers of our success and it’s thanks to them that we are able, year after year, to continue modernizing life insurance in Canada in order to make it even more accessible.”

Mr. Rochon stresses that providing employees with a healthy and stimulating work environment is essential not only for the development of their own potential but for the success of the Company. “We are very proud that these honours demonstrate that we consider our employees’ health and well-being to be an integral part of our growth,” Mr. Rochon adds, noting that the firm’s efforts to implement initiatives and programs for its people have been recognized by various accolades, in addition to this latest honour. Humania recently earned the Healthy Enterprises Group’s Distinction Award in the Lifestyle and Stress-Management category.

For her part, Vice-President of Human Resources, Isabel Portelance says: “This year for the Top 100 award, Humania was recognized for its participatory-innovation approach, which encompasses more than 20 initiatives focused on health and wellness in the workplace, and for strengthening a culture that revolves around our five values: collaboration, innovation, agility, empathy and integrity.” Ms. Portelance especially praised employees for remaining committed to “living” the Company’s values while teleworking during the COVID-19 crisis.
